i just recently when a got myself a whiplash stick for my 440. Stock lower end,452 heads and intake. 750 edlebrock, long tubes and assault racing distributor and coil. It’s a 76 model low comp block. Well to make a long story short I bought a tac for the car for the break in period. so I don’t know the redline with the original stick. But I took the car out for the first time with the new cam and slowly rolled into the throttle and it stopped climbing at only 4600rpm. Is this normal with this setup, I just figured it would be closer to the 5300 range? Anyway if there is anyone that is familiar with this camshaft or has it in a similar project or any info what could be causing this (if there is a problem) would be appreciated.

I dont think a cam is a rev limiter. I would think ignition, fuel delivery, or weak valve springs.

What springs does it call for?? Are you running them?? And how did you test, drag strip, highway, free rev??? Did it stop making power or just top out? Any other work, head job, or just put the cam in??

Not a whiplash style cam fan but I understand the concept but as said above something besides the cam is wrong- unless installed wrong/ timing/ intake center line way off
that's a BIG intake lobe for a low compression motor- you running low gears and loose conveter? (most likely not the problem here just curious)
start checking the list above but also post a compression test
tks
do you have the SEAT timing? or get it?
