I ran across this pic.

My question is, what is that extra threaded hole in the center for?

I have a shifter just like this in my pile of parts, and it has a grease fitting screwed into it.

Anyone know if this is year or A/B model specific or anything?

I have one similar to that with the grease zerk, I was told it was from a van or a pickup. Mine has a crazy mounting bracket on it.

Interesting. I just hadn’t seen others like that until earlier today when I ran across that picture looking for a nice clean shifter for the roadrunner.

Yeah, I know the pickups had a weird looking shifter bracket. I just don’t remember the grease zerk being there. It’s been quite a few years though.

My 72 Charger with bench seat has a funny looking bracket as well.

The 6353 was used on '68-'69 B Body, '68-up A body, '76-'80 F Body and truck/van with OD. The ones used on the truck/van had the zerk.

I’ve ones that have added like below, looks like maybe tack welded on.

Would be a positive to have it right or wrong?
