Hi,

I'm dropping a 727 into my 69 Coronet and was wondering if anybody in here has adapted a Hurst pistol grip shifter to work with a floor mounted auto? I think i'll user a Gennie shifter so there's no button to worry about.

Anyone done this and want to share any pitfalls or pics?

A company called GunSlinger out there I think make this handle your looking for ? If I remember rite I saw he had them for just about any shifter you wanted. Nice parts to !

I'm confused. Does the Shft-R-Arm come with the handle shown? If not, where do you order the handle shown? Also, how do you get it back into Park/Reverse? The stock shifter has a button on top that you have to depress to do that. The button linkage is inside the shifter arm.

X2 on Duncan Pistol I bought one from him very nice, not a huge fan of the gate that comes with it but you get used to it. Overall worth the $250. I will say this....It changes the whole feel of the car, you will find that you can feel the motor more like a 4 speed and it feels good just holding it while cruising. Not that I hold my pistol all day or anything lol An old UK bud of mine always used to tell me there is nothing better that a good ole' yank! lmao

How do you put it in Park from Drive? Push down?

Does the handle come with the arm or do you order it separately?

Yes, Push down and run it through the gate. There is a spring and seat that all bolt up to the original linkage very very simple to install took about 15 min. I painted my shifter mount. Check out the ducan web site.:headbang:

It's close but not quite what I'm looking for. I'm imagining this look;

I'm thinking it shouldn't be too difficult to put a Gennie shifter under the rubber boot. Gennies use a side action instead of a button so using the shifter should be easy.

I don't know if it will fit on a 727 floor shift auto stick but MR NORM makes them for new Chargers and Challengers and they really look good. Hope this might help.
