Building a 73 charger 440 automatic car, I plan on putting a hurst shifter out of an SE donor car in it with bucket seats. I don't have a center console for either car, since the one in rebuilding was a column shift. Did the hurst shifter use a center console, or did they just mount on the floor and use their own covers, I'm new to mopars so I have no idea about any of this. If I need a center console does anyone know where I can get one

2 different Hurst pistol grips where used. A long, tall handle was for a bench seat car. It was mounted forward on the tailshaft And a short handle for a console. The consoles are different between auto and stick, the top plate is unique for each, and the stick console also has a notch cut on the side for clearance. The shifter boot will be visible through the console opening. If converting from an auto or a three speed, you will also need a four speed hump.

The car is an automatic and I'm putting a 727 back in it. The hurst shifter is a pro matic 2 for an automatic.
