Can someone point me in the right direction for tightening up my hurst shifter in my 69 RR?

A tech article, a kit?

I sent my directly to Hurst and they made it like new for around $50 if I recall correctly!

Back in the day the Hurst "Shifty Doctor" would do this at NHRA national events for free for anyone using their products. However the advent of the automatic kinda killed the action there.
At the very least they make a service parts pkg. for nearly every type of shifter. Call Hurst!

Believe it or not the 69 RR Hurst shifter has a lifetime warranty(I still have the ad) and Hurst used to rebuild them for free other than shipping.

Would it be possible to post a picture of that add? Just curious as I have never seen it before. I bet Hurst never anticipated them lasting 40 plus years. Did B&M buy Hurst recently?

great info thanks guys.

I'll probably just call them when I get time to tear into it.

Yes but give me a few days to dig it up and scan it.
