Pops that was interesting

I'd like to see something like that for city use. Tata has been working on one for a few years, and is apparently completing their stage two development of it.

1- aren't battery powered cars using lithium batteries? Hmmmm?

2- more than 1/2 a century ago there were railroad engines that ran on compressed air. They were used in close proximity to the shops, and had to be returned to be repressurized, but could work a full shift or more. I believe it was done for smoke abatement.

Not even half a century ago. Compressed air locomotives were popular 100 years ago for use in coal mines because of the safety aspect, but continued in use for a long time. The German company 'Arnold Jung Lokomotivenfabrik' didn't cease production and repairs until the 1980s. New York elevated tramways at one time used compressed air as well, to eliminate smoke.

Someone in Pheonix had built a dragster that ran in the 9 second range, using a jet engine compressed air starter motor.

theres a drag car at big daddies that ran on compressed air. need to dig but should have some pics of it.
