My son took his mom car shopping last weekend. Her newish Ford Escape transmission is giving out. They ended up getting a Kia Seltos which I had never heard of. Not bad. New model 2021 4X4 for $24K. They visited Hyundai and saw lots of these 2019 Iron Man models on the lot. The sales guys said they can't GIVE them away.

Well that’s hideous... anyway Kia makes a good car and they’re willing to stand behind it with a 10 year - 100,000 mile warranty. I Wish some American auto makers would match that warranty.

Hyundai n Kia are sister brands. Dodge, Plymouth. Same underpinnings, different bodywork. If I could get it under 20k, I'd take the Iron Man.

There's one of those iron Man cars that comes to our car show . I felt badi asked the guy if he was lost ,he got furious and said no! This is an extremely rare hard to get iron Man edition Hyundai!
I said oh ......
I thought some kid just spray painted his mom's car !!!!

We are on our 3rd Sorento. Gonna get a Telluride next fall. Their cars are built very well and the warranties are great....

Kia sure has made a comeback...
back in the early 2000`s,kia was one of the Worst manufacturers in the world.
not only were their cars junk, but their warranties were lies.
i personally knew a lady who was making payments on a brand New brokedown kia that none of the dealerships would fix.
this car had less than 10k miles.
this lady was in her 60-s and not a formula 1 driver by any means either.
her kia sat out in the parking lot at work for years while she took a bus to work...........

now,
i see these 10 year warranties, and i wonder how she made out with her car...
personally its a company i could never trust.

Thank god for our lemon laws that stop that from happening. I'd end up in jail if that was me.

yeah,those laws were useless.
didnt seem to faze the kia dealerships.
they just kept refusing her service and sending her to a diff kia dealer.
that was their idea of getting rid of the problem, instead of fixing their pile of crap.

funny you should mention that last line,
because i was rather incensed that they would cheat an old lady.
i offered several times to go over there and talk~ to the manager.
she refused..and i honored her request.
sad part is,i would bet Good money she paid that damm car off too.

I had to use the lemon law for my 2017 Yukon XL. It had the much maligned GM 8 speed transmission. About one of every 20 vehicles had problems with the transmissions to the point where there is a class action law suit in 6 states.

Regardless, after 2 1/2 years, the lemon law (or threat of it) worked and GMC finally made a settlement that helped against the loss in value. I then upgraded to Ram - I wouldn't trade it for the Kia!!! :p

Cannot say I am a KIA fan or that I would ever buy one but that Iron Man edition doesn't look bad IMO.

Have had two new Hyundai Sonata's, really good cars, no issues. May buy another next year if they are still building cars, not just SUV's. Nice SUV you have.

there good throw away vehicles like most produced today, I know quite a few people that have and like them. no worse than a GM product, probably better, I think I'll stick with my ram and challenger.

Too flashy and probably as little iron in it as possible.
We've had two Santa Fe's for work, I didn't like either one.
The first was a real POS. Engine noise, lousy mileage.
I'd take a dodge minivan any day.
