Hi all my name is Tim I've been working on cars since 1966 when my dad managed a newly built Enco Station in Kailispell Mt. their Motto was "Put a tiger in your tank".. We had tiger tails you could hang out of your gas cap, glasses that said "put a tiger in your tank " in several different languages as promotional items.
I bought this car for my Wife . Who just recently passed to Kidney failure. We've had the car for about 6 years It had around 50,000 miles on it but ran bad. When I tore into it I found a bad timing chain gear (plastic over metal) but since I had it apart I wasn't going to put the old parts back in.. and decided to continue the rebuild. To my surprise there was NO build up of anything in the valley or heads so I believe it really only had 50,000 miles on it.. I upped the cam a little, home ported the exhaust a little and have added a 4bb intake and carb. It now only has about 12,000 on the rebuild and runs great.
I like my cars old so I can work on them with my old brain..LOL.. my other cars I have in my yard are by age ...
1956 Wilys CJ5 (been in my family since the early 60's)
1961 Comet (built by FOMO Not a Mercury till 62)
1964 International 4 door truck built with a 545 storker BBF, C6 and a 9" My hot rod LOL
1974 Pinto (project car)
1976 Olds Cutlass (project car)
1975 Fury (daily driver)
1979 AMC Concord (Driver and runs great)
1984 Ranger (Driver)
Well that's me and my full yard that runnith over.
Thanks and take care be safe. Tim
