I Need Help, Oh Boy!

Hey fellow B-body people, I need front and rear bumpers for my 71. I’d like a new pair as my old ones have been through many years of rough use and they are not exactly perfect. How have you guys made out with new ones, Andy you’d recommend or what ones should I avoid? I certainly appreciate any help you all would have, thank you in advance

AMDs are supposedly the best repops out there but they are hit and miss. ~$450 per bumper. Some are good, some are marginal. If you're going for driver quality they will do. If you want show car quality have your originals straightened by a pro shop and true triple chrome re-plated. $1,000- $2,000 per bumper. Plan on waiting at least 6 months. Used to be $200 a bumper back in the day.

I agree with Runner 68. I put AMD bumpers on my challenger about 20 years ago. They were quite good but not stellar. If you want the very best find the very best shop and have yours redone. It will hurt when you pay for it but you love it every time you look at them.

You could have your originals repaired and powder coated silver or have them painted body color...

Thank you folks for your quick replies, I was thinking of going with AMD all of the time but you all convinced me to pull the trigger. I’ve used AMD on my panels I replaced and was happy with the fit of them. I’ve had this old girl for 45 plus years and it’s far from perfect but still turns heads. Thank you for your prompt replies.
