I have just a straight rod from my booster, The brakes were upgraded before I purchased the car. It is a summit power disc brake conversion SUM-BK1008. I think that they took it out or it never had it. Brake pressure is very hard, could use some advantage. Booster holds vacuum.

To use the linkage the booster is raised up. If you have a straight rod then yours is in the lower position for manual brakes.

Yes it came out of the factory as a manual/drum brake car. The previous owner had someone install a Summit front disc power brake conversion kit(SUM-BK1008). The brake booster can be raised since its brackets is slotted.
