ID of 4 speed trans

I am trying to find out about a trans I purchased. I have attached the picture of it.
I am trying to find out what year it is from.
The bottom line reads PP833, so I know it was made at New process Gear and it is an A833, the next for digits are the Build date? I know they used a calendar year starting in July ( or was it Aug?)
The Ser. number is above, what are the 4 digits to the right ( 0126?)

Is it an 18 or 23 spline trans?

Well, if it was an 18 spline it would be between 66-71, but that rules that out. Where's the shifter mounting pad located?
