I will go out on a limb here but this is from my DIRECT experience on my 3800lb 66 Coronet with my 12.2-1CR flat tappet Comp Cam motor.
I installed an INDY Single plane intake and #80688 1050 Dominator and went from 10.90 to 10.60 the very next day...with same conditions.
Then later on I had my Standard Port INDY SEZ heads enlarged to MAX WEDGE SIZE and at the same time had them ported to flow around 340cfm.
That improvement took me from 10.60 to 10.30 with nothing else done...
I have other things after these 2 things to improve my ET's down to 10.16 range...2" Dougs Headers with 3.5" collectors, Trans-Brake Tranny and new Hoosier Slicks...but the 6/10's of a second came from the carb/intake setup and the improvement to the Heads.
So...In my opinion if you are still running a 4150 carb (any cfm) and a dual plane intake and standard port and unported cylinder heads you can go much faster with those two items....
I make a disclaimer....I think it takes a 500" motor to take advantage of these things.

Mike I would have to agree. On my wagon the dominator and 4500 M1 intake was good for 2.6 tenths. I can't speak for the max wedge heads on that combo as I run Edelbrock Performers.

However on my Cuda I had my Indy SR's opened to max wedge size and picked up 1.6 tenths in the 1/8th. I was going to switch to a dominator on that car but had a retainer break before the switch. The 1.6 tenth was also before any tuning (never run tool steel retainers again). I believe I had at least another .1-.14 I could have tuned into the combo.

MY 505 liked the switch to a Super Victor and 1050 as well.

One day when funds let me I would like to try the MP 337 single plane intake and a Dominator carb on my 440/493. I believe its the only single plane that will fit under my hood and I heard its a very good intake. I wont change my scoop to the taller Max Wedge scoop as I love the look of the original size and wont change my scoop. So for me to go single plane its got to fit under the scoop I use which is the factory original size. The Indy dual plane on it now has the carb stud about a 1/4" from touching the inside of the scoop now so I cant go any taller. Ron

I'm still stuck with theses slow street carbs.

I think you should get rid of those things. They look really small and outdated.

I see you have upgraded to the see through distributor cap, wires and hoses. With all the weight savings it should make it go faster.
Only pic I had handy

I gotta agree that 1050 dominators and 500 cube motors go together like peanut butter and jelly. The few I’ve tested on my roadrunner scream, even on the old TM6. I plan on running one next year and will get some track data.

Just picked up this newer 8082. Don’t think the guy liked the way it ran. Looking at the calibration I can see why. It’ll need to go under the knife for some changes before it finds a home on the roadrunner.

My thoughts are the heads are more likely to choke the motor than carb , within reason .
These are my results
505ci , Victor intake , prosystems hp1000 4150 carb , 440Source CNC standard port head . Best et of 10.51-52 , mostly high 10.50- mid 10.60s
Swapped to 1050 4500 carb and adapter , i did use a M1 intake , no improvement .
Fitted a Super Victor intake , 4500 flange , consistant mid 10.50s .
Heads cracked 2 intake ports so spending $ time .
Fitted TF 270 heads opened intake to suit , [email protected] .
So over 0.25 second gain with just heads
Then realised block was cracked as well , bugger
Swapped this topend onto my 440ci motor and have run nearly 2/10s faster than its previous best , and with a taller 30" radial was using a 28"radial prior . Went 10.70 , this as i have noted elsewhere is with a .520 nett lift solid flat tappet cam . I also run a exhaust system to diff .
All passes done shifting at only 6000 , 505ci withTF heads really needed a higher shift point as vert stall moved above 6000
