I was gonna do that but I see a lot of people say the orange boxes are junkWhy not just get a factory type setup ? There are bullet proof and very cost friendly. Replacement parts at your local parts stores.

Mopar Performance doesn’t make ECUs anymore - Been some yearsI was gonna do that but I see a lot of people say the orange boxes are junk
Orig pointsWhat are you using now?
The ones at jegs are they firecore or MP?Yes
I run the Firecore Distributor and so far so great , honestly so easy to adjust mechanical advance
Jegs has great pricing
I was going to pull the trigger on that same MSD Street Fire or Pertronix Digital HP
Was having issues running these cheap aftermarket Mopar ECUs and RPMs until I found some Made In The USA older stock that actually runs a transistor
These are firecore with just jegs name on them?
You mounted your blaster 2 sideways I heard you can’t do that. I was looking at those but wasn’t sure which one to get cause of mounting. I want to put the coil back stock but don’t care about ignition box! After many different parts and so-called kits with supposedly matching parts which are supposed to play well together I went to the msd6al with full mechanical billet distributor and blaster 2 coil. Everything just works and with bushings and spring assortment I can dial in whatever works for the engine.
System has 3 sparks up to 3k, sure makes starting easy. This is just my opinion and what works for me. Of course if you’re trying to keep the original look there’s probably fewer choices.

Do you remember what blaster 2 it wasThis may draw fire but My understanding is these coils can be mounted horizontal or vertical just not upside down. This coil has been there for about 6 years now and around 25k miles and has never had any issues or problems. This car has not had a single starting issue since the MSD was put on.
I don’t like the coil being in that spot, but we are trying to balance the upgrades with the overall look of the car. My Charger I mounted the coil where the windshield washer was, and before that it was up on the inner fender next to the hood hinge area.![]()
