Does it exist?
Am I wasting my time trying to get in contact with this company?
So far no return calls or emails.
I'd just like an answer to my special order.
I need a special throttle cable size for my W8 motor in my avenger.

Hi, I don't have any record of an email or voicemail from anyone with an Avenger - you can leave a voicemail at [phone number deleted - no phone numbers / emails in posts please]

We're a very small outfit, just my wife and I. We both work in the shop so we seldom get to answer calls live. We only sell what we build so if we're not working in the shop we're not making money. That said, if you leave a message, we will call or email you back.

Thanks,
Steve

4 years ago I bought one of Steve's cables through a third party vendor and had a problem. Steve sent me a replacement at no cost to me. His customer service was excellent and prompt with me - a super guy. So be patient and know he's a good guy - just may be a bit busy, as he said.

We need to support this type of small specialty vendors as best we can. Some of these guys are making stuff that you aren't going to find anywhere else. It's a bitch having your ride out of commission because of a small part that you can't find. Plus you are supporting an American small business. Thanks Steve.

I have been beating an Imperial Services transmission mount in my high hp stick car for over ten years. It still looks/works perfect. I have no idea how much I paid for it but I'd buy another without hesitation.

I think something may have happened at Imperial Services. I ordered a park cable in April. In August I still didn't have it so I sent a note asking about my order. Steve replied telling me my order got lost and I would have it in a week. A month later still no cable and no replies to recent emails. So much for customer service at Imperial Services.

This thread puzzles me. W8avenger slams the customer service of a quality vendor that has no record of his existence and refers to his W8 in his avenger - a car / combo that doesn't exist.

Don't be puzzled. Do a search on this website for imperial services and you will see LOTS of problems.

That's not what puzzles me. An avenger with a W8 doesn't exist, and there is no reason on earth to fit a POS W8 VW motor into a POS Dodge Avenger. the vendor says the client doesn't exist and after slamming a vendor, W8avenger disappears.

Not even sure how I found this thread but W8avenger has some explaining to do or an apology is in order. It's as if he's just trying to fill the Internet with misinformation about the vendor.

You may want to consider the possibility that a W8 Avenger exists because the guy posting built it that way. I think that's why he needed a special length throttle cable.

Funny thing is that a W8 AVENGER does exist.it belongs to the last enginr builder that was bashed by the one and only Stupitstockracer.Imagine that,,,,,,,,,,,,,:mob:

Do you ever come up for air Snaggle? Stupid is with a D not T.
KiwiGTX or Tallhair, how about a little help here. I guess this is allowed. Calling someone Stupid.
Is this starting trouble, causing trouble, I'm just curious.

I'll add a little something to this thread.
Years ago I ordered a shift cable for my 63 Plymouth. Since my original was burned up from a header pipe.
Mind it, the original cable adjusted in a matter of minutes.

So I ordered a new cable from Steve at Imperial Services. He got it out ASAP.
So I go and install it and it wont adjust. Go thru the gears and back to neutral only to find out, its out of adjustment, readjust and go through the gears and go back to neutral, and its back out of adjustment. Did this literally 100 times.
Spent 8 hours trying to figure out what was wrong.
After total frustration, I head out to Nazareth Pa. to bring the car to my buddy's house and put it on the lift.
We spent another 5 hours and this guy is the max wedge guru, and he couldn't figure it out.
We had a big race the next morning so we ended up putting in my original cable and band aided it. We stopped working on it at 1:00 AM
My original adjusted in 5 minutes. WTF.
So after close examination, the inner sheath cable housing opening hole where the cable rides inside was the IMPROPER diameter, too large. I believe it was 1/1000 .Imperial Services mess up getting the wrong cable housing. Too much slack inside where the cable rides on.
So I called Steve at Imperial Services on Monday and he got me another one out and accepted responsibility for the mistake.
I still have his replacement sitting on my shelf. I don't even know if this one will work or not.

That being said, a few months later, I ordered a Race Hemi Defroster cone from Steve and he said it would ship out by the end of the week. It never arrived.
After 1 year of repeated calls to Steve, there was no defroster cone and no call back.
I ended up getting it promptly from Norm Brady from Crossram Connection. May he rest in Peace..
I'm pretty sure Steve remember me.

You're subscribed but I don't see you doing your job?
I'm sure I'll get a violation though.

I'm doing my job alright, but if I had to babysit everyone one of the comments and jibes between you and HEMI-ITIS alone, I would be spending/wasting a lot more of my time than I already do. I don't do this for the money or the title, I am doing this to help the team, and give a little back for all the help I personally have had from some of the great members here who contribute their own time in assisting others. But, if I'm not doing my job, then fine, I'll just walk away.....just say the word.

Consider yourself fortunate to still be here after the comments and the name you called me in THAT PM last year.

I respectfully request that you and HEMI-ITIS both back down and quit this playground BS that continue to simmer here, and get on with being civil towards each other so we can all enjoy the cars and the actual reason most of us are here for.
