I want to replace my inline fuel filter. Without going to some outrageously priced race filter, are they more or less the same? Currently has a 2" dia. looking metal filter with no markings. Looking at a clear one so I can see how it looks inside. Any input? What kind are you running? Thanks

I would advise against any clear type filter. In the event of an accident, they are more likely to rupture and cause a fire. It is this same reason that they are not NHRA legal at any NHRA sanctioned track. I highly recommend leaving it metal. WIX makes some good ones.

Any Advance,AutoZone,Napa, etc will have the metal can type in 5/16 or 3/8 for about $4 bucks.
Most don't recommend the clear plastic for fear of splits and leaks that is common.
Metal is what I use.Just a thought..
