My current '65 Coronet does not have inner sill plates. The carpet runs all the way up to the edge. I assume this carpet has to be cut in order to install the inners. Anyone have a pic of what it looks like?

Do you have the linear carpet hold downs? They do the carpet holding, under the inner sill trim.

I don't. My carpet is currently butted right up to the edge. It looks clean, and one would never know that they were missing. I can take a pick this evening...

Finding the correct inner sills is tough as some on the market are for a convertible...

They are not the same as a H/T or post body as they are too short...

I can help to solve your inner sill plate/carpet hold down issue, give me a call....877-930-4088 ext 102.

I will no longer be posting up part numbers, prices, or pics on ANY FXBO message board so that this post CANNOT be considered a FOR SALE ad and be summarily deleted......

I got my 65 Coronet inner sill plates from Layson's (see post above). It's the only vendor I found who would sell the inners separate from the outers. They fit perfectly and do finish off the interior floor.

I actually have the correct sill plates already. I was curious as to what needed to be done (if anything) to the carpet below. The guys at Tony's parts told me that there is no factory hold down under the sill plate, and the carpet lays flush to the edge.

There are holdowns like in post #2. They quit that in 66
