My original setup was the rectangle dash without a tach. I am installing a new rally dash with a tach gauge. I have also upgraded to a Ron Francis XP-68 Powered EXPRESS Wiring System. What exactly will have to be done to get the tach to read correctly?

I don't know that specific application, but in general, tachometers need a ground wire & a wire going to the negative side of the ignition coil, and a hot wire...that's it. I've "heard" that a MSD ignition can confuse some tachometers & you have to add some type of adapter, but my dealer installed tear drop hood tachometer seems to work fine with MSD...though my tick-tock-tach might have had an issue (I took it out when I added the hood tach, but the MSD might have been why it never worked).
