Other than the holy grail 426 hemi, is there a preferred hemi that would be somewhat simpler to install in a 69 Bee?

426 or nothing. That's what I prefer.

If I get a modern hemi it will have a warranty.

Following. as Im curious as well.

I keep wondering what's involved to make the 3rd gen work in the older cars

I’ve got some good friends that have installed them. They’ve struggled along the way but in the end they got them completed. A few did Hellcats, 392 and the gen 111 strokers and all ran damn good but they are just not for me even though you can do most of them for almost a fraction of a real Hemi.
