I would like to install a passenger side remote mirror on my 76 cordoba, there is a pre drilled hole in the dash between the radio and steering column for the remote toggle, but I am not sure how to run the cable from the door and behind the dash. Does anyone have a diagram on how this is done, or photos that I could take a look at?

Thanks in advance for your help.

If anyone has done this, any type of direction or advice would be helpful. If you don't have pictures or diagram thats ok.

Thanks

I put one on my first Cordoba in 1985 when I was 17. Back then, there was plenty of parts available at the bone yard. I took door panel off, found plug in door and popped it out. Then I removed passenger kick panel and looked with flashlight to find routing of control cable. Next, I took trim panel off to see when to mount control in factory spot on the dash. I measured and then drilled a hole in the trim just big enough for threads to pop through and tighten down. The Part that screws on the control is big enough to conceal a non-factory hole. Now the hard part. When I did mine, I replaced the drivers side as well. I measured the existing holes and then transferred the measurements to the pass side, drilled, bolted, ran cable and reassembled. The gasket on the pass mirror should slide down the cable, can be removed and then become a temporary template. Measure accurately and take your time. It is not too hard of a job to do. Good luck!

Thanks so much. So there is a designated route for the cables?

I am also replacing the drivers side mirror, so I appreciate the additional information.

I was lucky enough to get a matching set of sport mirrors in good shape from someone parting out a Cordoba for a demolition Derby car.

Ouch that hurts! I guess that means....One less running doba in the already thinning heard. Did you get anything else.... Get what you can while you can in trim, interior, accessories. And send us a before and after of your friends doba.

Yeah its a 77, under 100,000 miles and with a pretty nice interior white leather buckets, full power options, 400 ci. the exterior was tough, and although I could have got it cheap, I don't have the time or space for it.

I got the mirrors, the trunk key cover. the front bumper guards and some lenses and light fixtures. I will post a couple pics that I have of it and hopefully can get some pics after it runs in the derby. The only saving grace is that he was parting it out and it didn't go straight to the scrap heap. I
