Intake gasket

I took off the intake on my big block today. When I removed it I had no gasket or sealer between the tray and the intake. I found some gasket maker between the tray and heads but no gasket. I ordered a new tray from Mancini but in the heat of the moment it was not specified about gaskets. I have to think a gasket should go above and under the the tray?
Please help me out here with thoughts.

Nope intake does not have a gasket between it and the valley pan.
