have seen people talking about intake clearance issues on 69 road runners with the air grabber. just wanted some info on what alum intake would work on my 383 so I wont have to replace it in the future if I go with an air grabber setup
thanks

Guess it depends on what kind of intake you want to run. If you want a good "all around" intake, then a DP4B or an M1 dual plane will work fine. I ran [email protected] in my 69 Bee with it's numbers 383 and auto. Could have gone faster with more converter and more gear, but it was very streetable and those changes would have changed that.

who makes the DP4B ,and what do you think of the performer dual plane . its a stock build with one step up cam .

The DP4B is an old Edelbrock. The M1 dual plane is essentially the same intake with accommodation for an automatic choke. A Torker TM-6 (I think that's right) will also clear. I believe the Performer is taller than any of the others I've listed, and I know IN SOME CASES people have had clearance issues

I can get an TM-6 for a 150.00 single plane thats more for higher rpms right
hear any thing about the holley street dominator intake?

Haven't run one, so I don't know. I'm thinkin you should be able to score a TM-6 for less than a buck fifty

Ya, I see a TM-6 on ebay every once in a while... I am using the TM-6 that came on my 67 charger for my new stroker.
