I have a 1968 Dodge Coronet and I need a new lower tail light panel. It seems to be hard to find a used panel that is in decent shape and no one seems to make an aftermarket replacement yet. However, there is an aftermarket replacement for the 68 Road Runner. Does anyone know if any parts like that are interchangable between these two cars?

Yes, the panel on the back of the car that the tail lights attach to extends down behind the rear bumper. The area behind the bumper is infected with rot.

Go to the AMD online catalog on there website, should tell you if the plymouth and Dodge are the same.

The 68 Coronet has totally different tail lights than the 68 Road Runner....tail panel is different.

The crossmember behind the bumper should still be the same , the piece with the hole cut out for the fuel filler neck. I know the piece above that is different.
