I am thinking of switching my secondary project, the 74 Charger.
I found a 68 Barracuda that I like and it is in a lot better shape.
I'd like to gauge the interest in the Charger to see if it might sell.
It's 74 SE Brougham, original 318 auto on the tree, a/c, p/w, PDB, cruise, sunroof, map light, rear defrost, rallye dash, buckets and buddy seat. That's what I can think of. Original color was white with green top and kind of cool 74 and up dark sherwood green interior. Someone started to paint it all a funky green and did the underhood area, inside the trunk, and the interior floor and jambs. It is currently in gray primer.
I was going to paint it silver and put on a black top, then slowly change the int to black as well.
It needs most of both quarters but I have some that were cut from a donor car that look like they will cover about 95% of the needed areas.
It also needs the corner of the drivers door, which I also have.
The interior is fair to poor with the worst being the dash. The seats and door panels could be driver quality if necessary.
It also needs a "fish plate" where the K frame isolator mounts to the frame horn. The frame is not rusted, just the thick sheet metal that wraps around it and has the threads for the mount.
Someone also tried putting a big block in it and pounded the inner fenders to clear "log" manifolds.
Anyone have any interest in this? I paid $2000, and would, of course, like to get my money back at least. I think just the seats are worth about a third of that. It also has 14" magnum 500's that need repainted.
It's a big project, and a so~so desireability factor, but could be an extremely neat finished product.
It's currently at the body shop waiting to get the underhood painted.
I'll see if I can dig up a few pics from last year, but would have to go take more if anyone wants them.
