Interesting 64 mirror placement

Seen a few myself but more common on early 60's c-bodies.. Just need really long arms to adjust them. :lol:
 
Look at pictures and original ads for 1964 GTO. I think the mirror was even farther ahead on them.
 
Side mirrors were an option.. anywhere you like. I actually prefer my "trailering" position on my '64.

My 58 has the factory dual mirrors mounted ahead of the windshield on the fenders.
Of course I don't have a pic with them on, you'll have to trust me, it looks cool.
 
It used to be quite common in some countries that required you to be able to view the side mirrors through the front windshield.
