IF a car is map light delete…is the delete plate supposed to be black…or the color of the dash? Also what are the choices for the package shelf cardboard panel…how would you know what the proper color should be? Thanks, Cliff

I'm 99.9% sure the delete cover is the color of the dash. Even though it's sort of hidden I think it got painted with the dash or perhaps they had them ready painted in all the trim colors. Not that many trim colors to choose from so I think that made it easy. Good question about the package tray Masonite board. I've been seeing these cars for 30 yrs and funny how some things that should be a no brainer make you wonder.

Thanks ,Yep I never really thought about it myself…or even knew there was a map light delete plate until I had to figure out what goes in that space, lol, The car I'm getting was missing the plate and map light, so I'm pretty sure it was a map light delete because it doesn't have anything about a light package on the fender tag… The package shelf looks like the guy made it out of masonite, but it doesn't look to good, and I saw a guy on ebay selling new ones with the felt edges, and it said choice of colors? So I'm not sure what color it would of came with?
