Welcome from New Zealand.

I'm installing a new tank and was not sure which one of the two lines goes to the vent tube and where do the other one goes is that for the return line

I posted a description on the other thread....see if you can follow what I mean.

I won't tell you which short tube is which....simply because there have been instances of them being different on the same type of tanks.

Fuel tank

The picture above in Post #6 looks like a hack job. You should have only one pipe coming out the tank to supply fuel to the engine.

On the right hand side of the sender/outlet unit, there are two small pipes. One is short inside the tank, and one goes to the end nearest the filler tube.

You will also find in your car one pipe that bends up and around the rear axle hump on the floor pan....then goes up and down in a tight loop. That tube connects via a small piece of rubber fuel hose to the SHORT tube inside the tank.

The other tube connects to a small steel tube with a bend in it which locates underneath the floor pan with a weird looking spring clip through a hole. That connects via a small piece of rubber fuel hose to the LONG tube inside the tank.

Is that what you need to know?
