I was always led to believe that 73 and 74 Roadrunner Hoods were different (73 Hood has Vents) however i came across a Plymouth sales brochure for 1974 Roadrunner's and guess what, it had hood vents. If what i was led to believe is true then maybe they used a 73 RR for this sales brochure.

The brochure is laid out and printed out before the car is released, so that probably is a 73 car. I would also point out my 74 had the all rubber bumperettes and not the chrome/rubber 73 ones shown in the pic.

I never did understand the difference in the 73 and 74 hoods, simulated? they look like it but are not? Maybe ill get this straight one time... Ive seen 74 RR's that have what appears to me the same hood as mine and when i was told there different then i assumed my 73RRC had a 74.. Now im back to i have no idea whats what.. a mind is a terrible thing to waste, one thing ill never have to worry about! :)

And mine are the rubber bumper mounts, they should be original to my car although i don't have the front one on the back are rubber.. and mine has the cowl vents, i take it 74 does not, thats new to me. You can also see the top stripe across the roof is the strobe which i thought 74 was a solid stripe going across?

Hey Ron. Do you have the SPD of your car? If it is an early car it may have got a 73 leftover hood at the factory.
