Got some new bushings today took it all part to swap out and realized I couldn't get the new bushings in with the tools I have.

Brake shop near me will take care of it along with the new solid adjustable sleeves and big 11/16" tie rod ends.

Was wondering if it's safe to drive without the sway bar mounted? Everything else is the same.

it's not gonna hurt anything...it will just lean more in the corners

Millions of cars came without sway bars back then.....

I drove my 66 without a sway bar for the first few thousand miles and it didn't handles all that bad. But I do have .96 torsion bars. After I installed a front sway bar (mine didn't come with one) I couldn't tell that much difference.

What a bitch trying to get these new bushings in, first they don't even look like they are right then trying to squeeze them in is like not going to happen with out some high pressure lol

Getting old sux man not what I used to be for sure.

Looked at taking my headliner out today to get ready for a new one. first 5 min. into thought to my self the upholstery shop guys price for the whole thing looks pretty dam good now, put the mirror back on and said screw it.

Guess I'm just getting old and want it done right lol

After lowering and dialing in a lot more camber into my 66 Belvedere, it handled pretty dog gone good....and I know the difference between ill handling cars and good ones. It ain't no Viper but still, you can make them do pretty good still.

I'm with you on doing upholstery work!! My upholstery work amounts to doing aluminum door panels and the like lol

sure... I drove my charger for a while without it on, it'll just feel like a boat on the river when cornering (and man it'll make you appreciate it when you put it back on)
