Been looking around for center sections to give my 340 all the help it can get gear multiplication for torque, and stumbled upon this. Only thing about it, it looks like it has a bit of surface rust on it? Should I be worried about something like the amount of rust on this, or should I send it?
Don't have the tools so I really don't wanna install my own gears into a center section.

Send it! I don't see any worry in how it looks from the pics.

I would buy it if I wanted that ratio. That piddly bit of rust is only superficial....as Dave says above - "Send it"

Wouldn’t hurt to have fairly tall tires
But l concur about the condition if the pattern s good

It sold, but I'm looking at the 4.30 to 4.56 range for my mopar 340 with a close ratio a833 (2.47 first)

I have 28 x 10.5 stiffwall slicks, so i need some gear advantage to turn em

I'm unsure how they will do with my current 3.55 gearset in there at the moment, I think either way it should improve my 60ft, I've been running consistent 2.4-5 second 60fts spinning through, trying to slip any lands a 2.70-71 second consistently. My fastest street radial launch has been just riding out the spin from a 3.5k rpm dump

Hoping to break at least 2.0 with new gears and these tires

Maybe i should start saving for the Dana 60 though with the new tires and it being a 4 speed...
