Putting together 62 belvedere w 318 Poly, has no A/C. My parts car, 62 fury 318, has what looks like factory A/C all in tact; I haven't ran it, ever, car was sitting in a field for years. The compressor is not froze up. I've never worked on any A/C. What would you do? Should I take compressor off and have someone check it, just swap the systems then get it serviced, not worth my time? Hot HOT summer so far in here in KC btw!

I would get your compressor, heater core, and condenser all checked. Then afterwards order a kit from one of the aftermarket A/C companies for all the essentials (ie hoses and such) in order to run the new refrigerant in it. I also might not worry about the compressor and sell for core and order one from the same company (as they are lighter and don't rob the horsepower the older ones had)
