Are these for your A12? I would have thought it came with 11's? I know the E body cars that came with front disc brakes came with 10's on the back......but it's easy enough to pull a drum and measure across it and you can get pretty close with the drum on.
you mean my fake wannabe A12 lmao! sometimes it's hard for me to remember when calling a parts store to tell them it's a base 383 car they always ask what motor.
without looking right now there is nothing special so stock should be 10", I'm gathering up stuff on rockauto right now and without drums already up to $118
Can you work out what size brakes you have from simply measuring edge to edge on the drum?
Also, if you got one of the kits from muscle car brakes (say the stage 3 that looks the most comprehensive) what else would you need to convert to the larger 11" brakes? Backing plate, ?
I'm looking to do the same thing at some point soon, thinking about whether it would be a good time to look at beefing up the rear brakes while at it. That link is really helpful, thanks for posting it!
E bay shipping may be expenditure to think about
The only reason I would stay away from a repop is because rhe old Mopar steel is better for rust/
strength originally... and the repop ones the last time I checked were more money...
