hi all, is there a difference between 1970 and 1971 roadrunner bucket seat cores? I have. A chance to buy a set of 1971's for my 70 restoration, and want to know if the new upholstery will fit.. please advise, your genius is welcome here....

The seats are different going by legendary's website it looks like the covers will not interchange
there were styling changes between the 68-70' and 71-74 b bodies. But I'm not for sure I don't know much about 71-74 b bodies.

No they wont work 70 is a one year seat but the e body i believe is the same frame but the tracks are different

My experience is all buckets from 70-80 use essentially the same frame. The foam is different from year to year, as are the covers. The tracks are also different from year to year and body style.

I bought a set of 76 buckets, replaced the 76 foam and covers with 72 foam and covers and you would never know they weren't 72 seats. I installed them in a 74 Roadrunner, and did so by cutting the rear stud off the tracks and welding a new one on where it needed to be for a 74.

Thank you all for replying so quickly! I'm very appreciative for your wisdom and guidance... it's so damn hard to find a set of 1970 buckets, I guess I could always keep the bench seat......
