Been looking for sometime on another project car to work on. I have been watching this listing on ebay for a few weeks and finally talked to the owner of this 71 GTX:

He claims it is numbers matching, but I noticed the grill looks like a Satellite Sebring emblem. I am thinking this maybe a scam or possibly the grill was swapped out? I am thinking I need them to provide pictures of the VIN, trunk lip numbers, and radiator core?

The 5th digit in the VIN is a U which means 440 4 bbl & there's no way that a Sebring would have come with that engine.

Just make sure ALL the numbers match on the body......and wouldn't hurt to check the numbers on the engine either.

the car is 20 miles north of me,pretty rusty, and the rarest part(rear window louvers are gone),still cool color combo, and has been listed a couple times, price keeps going down.
