Is this a trustworthy rebuild kit?

In a previous career, I spent 10 years or so rebuilding engines. We used a pile of those engine tech kits. I couldn't tell you an exact number, but I would estimate around 100-150 kits went into engines out of that shop. We never once had an issue with any of the parts. I wouldn't hesitate to use one of their kits.

Never heard of that brand but it's probably is no worse than when I used to order rebuild kits out of the Sears catalog for 350 Chebbies.

I typed a whole paragraph, then the damn thing went "PooF"...

I use name brand parts as I have to stand behind my engines. I usually have seen the EngineTech parts sold by Autozone. If you get this kit, you still need a cam kit, and I would go with the standard kit as opposed to the premium kit. For some reason, their premium kit includes chrome rings, and the std. kit has cast.

I sell my master kit for $486, and it includes everything you need, excepting valves, push rods, valve springs... There is a reason their kit cost half of that, and I chalk it up to quality.

ps.. don't forget to at lease replace the oil pump pickup (72-S2 or 72-S4). You can never completely clean them out, and they are cheap.
