Is there supposed to be a rivet holding this piece in place or a screw? Both sides have rivets. If so, what’s the easiest way to remove them?

Been awhile but I believe that rivet just holds a clip on the back... Yes it's factory. No need to remove it..

Thats correct like that with the rivet, if you didn't have the belt moulding the corner would be screwed in.

I never saw that rivet do anything. Nothing behind it to attach it to. The drip rail ends before it reaches that rivet. It's just a decorative rivet. And I've owned several chargers over the years.

So, it should just come off like the rest of the drip rail moulding?
