Hi everyone my first 440 build looking for some help with Isky rockers unfortunately I leaped before I looked I purchased billet hold downs and I am now learning that the factory hold downs needed to be modified for proper fitment the billet ones are the same width as factory. I have noticed if I swap rockers they are centered over the valve properly how critical is that oil feed I would not think it would make a difference if you are installing a banana groove has anyone done it that way or must I buy the original hold down thanks.

IIRC when I used the Isky ductile iron rockers yes it did have the stock type hold downs. It was necessary to clearance they to prevent binding with a few of the rockers. I have seen a Crane setup that was alot cleaner looking. Then you need the custom pushrods, again IIRC they measured in @ 9 inches fro Smith Bros. PS I think I have some stock hold downs, shaft and rockers. Dose your setup have all the spacers and shims?

after much research I have cut the billet ones to the sizes needed I will be fitting shims rather than use the springs need to get push rods 9.250 for mechanical cam
