Ill pass myself.. scary but does look like fun!

The TT(and the Manx GP) are about as bad-*** as you can get. Most of the factories will NOT allow their Moto GP riders to partake in the TT or any of the "Road"-races held throughout Europe. I rode for over 35 years-on dirt-bikes then Harleys-and...HELL YEAH,I'D TRY IT!!! Not on some rip-roarin' 900cc rocket;I could stuff it into a stone wall on a 250 just as easily. I do know a couple of people who have been there and ridden the course(on Mad Sunday) and have stated that the history is palpable-you feel it there.

If you think the TT and Snaefell Mountain course are frightening, check out vids from the Northwest 200 and other "road" races. Brutal events, but every bit as thrilling as the TT.

I've heard and read that some have called it a "Celebration Of Death". Far from it,IMO. We've all pushed the envelope, tested our personal limits and scared the living crap out of ourselves,so we know that incredible rush of having danced with The Reaper's Mistress and surviving the experience. No different here.

RIP,Joey.

I was watching it live this year...... Insane is what I would call it...LOL nerves of steel.

I rode for 4 years, never even approached insanity like this. I hit about 130 once on a bridge in the Bay Area just to know what it felt like. The fear, the joy of being alive, I don't ride anymore but I miss it every day.

Good luck to all the riders in the TT and other extreme road races.

That is cool as hell.... I love riding, I rode for over 40 years, in one way or other, but after getting "taken out" buy cars a couple of times, I don't want to push my luck any longer, I want to make it to Social Security age.... I did some hot laps 10 or so years ago now, on Sears Point on a friends Yamaha Superbike Johnny "Hollywood" Rodriguez said it had 350+hp to the wheel, too fast & too fun, the front end was so light the brakes were so good, the way they stick to the track when the tires have the proper heat in them, is "Freaken' exhilarating" to say the least, I see how people could get hooked, I'm an adrenaline junkie, but I never ever would try to go 200mph in the turns or a narrow road like that, on a wide open straight away yes, but on the Isle of Mann, NO WAY, I've been over 200mph, not on a bike thou, it's plenty fast enough in a car with a full cage, under far safer conditions...
