This rare car was discover just over a year ago and now we'll documented and seen by many. It is now going thru a transformation from the racing Gentle Ben to the retired almost original Gentle Ben. You can watch it's restoration on YouTube @Angrycylinders and here is a pretty nice article on it The Mopar That Shouldn't Exist: Meet the World's Only 1966 Dodge Coronet 426 Wedge

My Dad had a 65 880 (Monaco) that had a 426 Wedge that was an Ohio Ex FBI car. It still had paperwork in the glove box etc. He traded it off and I have never seen it or another one since.

I'm drinking already too, but I like the car.

It HAS been beat to death.

There is credible evidence.

...but the car has an "interesting" VIN/tag situation.

The Coronet was unearthed in 2012. Its fifth owner noticed the discrepancies between the VIN and the fender tag and sold it, thinking it had a misprinted VIN. The sixth owner, who showcased the car in 2023, discovered the broadcast sheet under the rear seat and did the initial research toward unveiling its special-order 426 Wedge status.

there's a tag and a sheet, have we already seen it?

actually, no........ I figured the tag and sheet would be the first thing guys here would be interested in
Sorry, thought you were kidding around. There were a couple of very long threads on here started by the brothers who owned the car at the time and sold it to the current owner. Lots of pics.

Yep post #5

I’ve seen it before at Moparty and it’s cool before the resto got going. Interesting story.
