Yep, Waiuku, New Zealand is where it's at tomorrow morning. The town is expected to swell from 12,000 to 30,000 people in the space of about 3 hours on Mother's Day. Bikes, Hot-Rods, Muscle Cars, Classics, tractors....the lot. The boys in the Kiwi Muscle Car Club got the polishing rags out today for a group wash'n'wax in preparation for the big day.

We had a surprise visit from a recent import out of Texas also....Cranky will love this one :D

More pics tomorrow after the event. Here's one of our key member's rolling up the driveway ready for some cleaning;

Farm truck!! Had a gun rack in my 79 D150 too but never carried any armament in it....and never have been a member of the NRA. Too political for me.

Sounds about as big as the Dream Machines show!

GTX looks great

have fun

I thought you meant KU Kansas University my alma mater. Cool cars and truck.

Nice XA GT is it a real phase 4 ? That program was banned by the Australian Govt.
I did hear a couple of cars/parts got released before the ban.

No, not a real one sadly....but a very cool real GT 4-speed all the same :headbang:

Paint on that car is about 30 years old....same guy painted my GTX in 2001. :eusa_dance:

Cool. Mothers day is the same day there, as well?

It certainly seems that way. :hello2:

It was a very busy day in the 'Ku on Sunday. Lots to see and do....my younger son and I went for a ride on a M*A*S*H* Replica Helicopter. Very cool ride - a first for my son, and my second helicopter ride. A real buzz going over our car display at 33 seconds (you can see the two red trucks and my FC7 GTX). Also flew over MowPar's Ranch and 1min 45sec - two green roof buildings with a fresh concrete driveway between them. Pilot had around 10.000 seat time in Britain as well as NZ in the Armed Forces, and is an Instructor. A real neat guy to talk to and the flight was awesome.

One of the many bands playing around the town on the day;

These guys were allegedly from Chicago...at least they look the part :headbang:
Next year our guys are planning to have a larger plot with parking for around 20 cars, and hopefully have our own band playing all day.
