I should have numbers tonight so here's the combo. What are your guesses.

440 based 512 CI
10.6:1 CR
Mopar Stage VI heads w/the following flow numbers

Lift Intake Exhaust
0.100 90 72
0.150 136 123
0.200 170 145
0.250 202 177
0.300 232 199
0.350 261 217
0.400 285 230
0.450 304 240
0.500 309 248
0.550 318 256
0.600 322 260

Hughes Cam HTL5660BS3 flat tappet, solid
lift intake .579" exhaust .587
duration at .050" intake 256, exhaust 260
LSA 108

850 cfm quickfuel carb

victor intake w/ 2" four hole spacer

comp cam stainless roller tip rockers 1.5 ratio

FBO ignition system, mechanical advance 20 degrees initial, 14 added by 2900 rpm

Based on other builds I've seen here, I've got a number range in mind....any guesses where it will end up?

I hope it's more BUT

659hp by the flow #'s of the heads with that cam
{ball park flowing 320cfm @ .579" gross valve lift x 2.06hp/per cfm of flow =659.2}
that's my wild a$$ guess

good luck, happy Moparing

595. Just because you want 600.

Delayed until tomorrow until the Milodon oil pump drive arrives. He broke it in today on a stock drive with the inner valve springs removed and will drop the Milodon drive in as soon as it arrives tomorrow. My guess is around 625, but I'll be happy with anything around 600. I hope Budnicks is closer to being right. More than I'll know what to do with for the street use regardless.

I hope he is right too. Y'all got me thinkin bout ditching the 340 for a 512 or 522.

I'm guessing with ya, 625. Exciting, make a vid, I love watching engines dyno test. Do you have any pics?

Well my combo's close to that. I am 493 cubes with heads that flow very close to yours. Mine are the standard EZ heads that flowed like 329 @ .600 and 224 @ .600. I have a solid flat tappet at 264 & 270 @ .050 and around .590 lift but I have 1.6 rockers so its about .630 lift. I have a standard 850 DP and the Indy dual plane intake and its 10.6 comp. Its pump gas and by a calclator it should be right around 600 hp to push my 3700 lb 63 to 10.70's.

I think yours should make more then me so my guess is 625 at the crank. Good luck , Ron

Dennis H......engine dyno (bench)

Preliminary numbers as of early afternoon from the first run was 641 HP around 5800 rpm and 677 lb-ft torque at a little over 6000 rpm. I couldn't write the numbers down so those are what memory serves me on the RPM's.....the HP and torque numbers are correct. He said it had 580 lb-ft at 3500 and climbed quickly to above 650+ torque just above 4500 and then started flattening out.

He was going to try some carb spacer variations and had some carb tweaking to do because it was running a little rich.

My distributor reluctor had about .010 TIR runout, so he put a mopar performance one on it that he had laying around. There was also some RPM fluctuation at the higher RPM's on cam break in, but that seemed to correct itself once he got the Milodon oil pump/dist drive shaft in this morning.

No video yet, but he was going to take one for me. I'll post as soon as I get it.

Great preliminary #'s, get a video if you can, I'd love to hear & see it run on a dyno pull...
there's more in her too...
