Has anyone had any luck trying to find the j-bolts that hold the heater ducting to the dash? These are the short bolts with thread on one end to snug the ducting up to the cowl.

What have y'all done to remedy this situation?

They should be fairly easy to make, if ya can't find any.

I might have a set on a spare duct piece. Will look but may be a day or two to answer as we just got two grandboys (10 & 11) here for Grma and Grpa Day Camp until their school starts. Gonna tak'em on the ATV trails tomorrow.

I just bought 5/16 by 3 inch J-bolts at ACE and drilled out the holes in the duct to accommodate. The original J-bolts were kind of stupid engineering. They seemed to only have threads on one side for some reason.

Granted, a judge at Carlisle would be less than impressed, but the duct is not going to fall off.
