Yep it's usually hang a valve, for some known or unknown cause, or some other mechanical failure, then it ignites the charge of NITRO-METHANE inside the Supercharger K freaken' Boom, blows out the Burst Panels/Plates & lifts the supercharger {& the body too} when it's bad enough, like that one did.... I had a Bad Blower explosion when driving my 23 AA Altered way back in the 80's, it was only on Methanol, before you had to have ballistic bags over the blower, to contain the sh-rap metal, a big hunk of a rotor from my nearly new 12:71 Mert Littlefield $4000+ Blower ended up 15 or so rows into the grand stands at Fremont Raceway, the guy & gal it almost hit, brought it down had me sign it for a souvenir keepsake... I was really lucky, noone including me, got hurt, mine only ruined the blower & belt & broke all the aluminum studs off the blower manifold, bent the blow off plate springs, bent some stainless injector hat fuel lines , bent I think it was 2 intake valves, never figured out why or how either, no piston contact I could see, but it never happened again, thank God...

In my Top Gas/Sportman 92 Trans Am, I did have a N20 explosion that blew the top off a custom Fowler sheet metal Tunnel Ram manifold, with an Enderle Bird Catcher hat on-top, ruined the hood & manifold, a bunch of fuel lines, scared the **** out of the old NHRA starter Buster Coach, all because $0.50 cents of a faulty Teflon washer in a Solenoid from my N20 system... That was the worst with N20 thank God
