maybe a silly question but I want to get it set right the first time. I about said I want to get it up right but that could have been easily misunderstood......
I'm about ready to embark on replacing every bushing on the front end of my 72 GTX and I would like some input on the best location for the jack stands. I have a heavy duty pair of stands in a smaller garage and I do it the old school way. Sitting on the concrete floor and rolling around on the ground. I did a drum to disk conversion a few years ago on a clone car and if I remember right one of my stands kept getting in the way. I was about to jack it up just now and thought I'd check with the masters on the forum. I've searched the forums and researched the process and I have no worries on eventually getting it done within a week or two. Not in a real hurry, plan on cleaning and painting or powder coating (good friend owns a powder coating business) and take my time after work in the evenings.
Based on my research I think I'm going to use a combination of rubber and poly bushings and I'm still on the fence about getting new torsion bars to hold up the 440.
