I read today the Leno is selling his famous car collection to some Saudi oil shiekh. It's a sad, sad, day.

I saw where the tonite show had to let 20 some people go and he took a pay cut so there was no more layoffs.He should have enuf money he should'nt need to sell his cars unless he got one hell of an offer.

OK, just checked the calendar, it's not April fools. In that case can we look at this sale as a barometer for the future of the car collector? Is Leno selling because this IS the time to sell? It has been brought up many times that the cars we like may not be appreciated by the younger generation and any hopes of retiring on our collections or having the future appreciate them down the road is a pipe dream. Just look at the guy with the $200K Shelby Dakota? Is this the future of our cars? For me personally it's because I like my old B bodies and I think I have proven that theory because I didn't sell any of my MoPars in the peak of pricing stupidity.

Here's why.

It would mean that each motorcylce average value is $1 MILLION. Some would be $2-3 million.

It would mean that each vehicle average value is $11.5 MILLION. Some would be $20-30 million.

Stop and think about what those numbers mean, even in the Leno and Saudi prince's world.

It's a hoax.
