Joe Flaherty Won't Be Down, Or Blowing Anyone Up

One of my favorites from the vast talent from SCTV passed a few days ago. He also played a lot of small parts in a ton of comedy films.

He played a death row inmate in Johnny Dangerously, the Russian border guard in Stripes, the postman at the end of Back to the Future II, etc.

One of my favorite roles was on SCTV along side John Candy doing the Celebrity Blow Up - I guess the good Lord took a liken to him.

I was a huge SCTV fan when that was on. He was also great in the unfortunately short lived outstanding TV series Freaks and Geeks.
