I picked up on this tip on a Jeep forum. It’s no DP90, but as rattle can paint goes John Deere blitz black is fairly tough and has a nice semi gloss finish. It’s also available in quarts….requires a special thinner.

DP 90 is a primer. A very good epoxy primer, but still not a top coat (although I'm aware that people use it as one). Is the Blitz Black primer? Or is it a paint? Is it expensive? More $ than say, Eastwood's chassis black? That happens to be my favorite at the moment, but its muy esspensive. Well, for ME it is.

Blitz black is indeed a top coat. I use the JD primer as well because I don’t think the blitz black is compatible with hardware store type primer. (I believe it has xylene as a solvent)
I used DP90 for years as a top coat until it got so expensive. My logic was that DP90 used as a top coat was still way better than the best rattle can paint.
