My girlfriend won a trip to the Marlboro Ranch in Clyde Park Montana and we just got back yesterday. This has to be some of the most beautiful country I have ever seen. (I dont get away much but i see things on the travel channel lol)

We had a frickin blast!!! (literally as you will see lol) Everything was provided for us and everything was TOP NOTCH!! From food-which was excellent-to booze to smokes to all kinds of activities. We went zip-lining, skeet shooting, fly-fishing and took a tour of the 18,000 acre ranch.

here's a few pics....

You are correct, this is God's country, or the last best place as we say up here.
My two brothers and two of my sisters worked at the Crazy Mountain ranch for years, they always had a blast and ended up with lots of awesome swag from the ranch, as in fishing gear, outdoor gear, etc. That ranch drops some pretty serious money.

She is obviously way too good for you and lucky to boot.

Dammit envy is an such an ugly character flaw .. just kidding I'm really happy you got out and had a great time brother!

Did you see any elk? They are in the rut right now, the crazies have quite a few running around there. Bow season is open, a couple of buddies I work with already got theirs.

Glad you had fun.

Did you go to Livingston? That's a cool little town not far from where you were staying, the Clint movie Thunderbolt and Lightfoot was filmed near there.

Looks like fun MarPar, you got to love the big wide open spaces, I know I do...

You went to a place called Crazy Mountain Ranch?? That makes so much sense!!! Haha!

Glad you had a good time and some much needed R&R.

I've been lucky enough to visit that great state many times, and you are correct when calling it God's country. I would have no problem moving there someday and calling it home.

Glad you had a great time, sound like big fun.
So tell me how someone go about winning a trip like that?

nope, didnt see any elk unfortunately...did see a few antelope though. man those suckers are fast!! i met a couple of the ranch workers from Livingston, but we were under pretty tight security and didnt get to venture past the ranch gates.

Amen to that.

My Girlfriend was bored one day at work and filled out the flier she got in the mail from Marlboro and about a month later she got papers saying that she was a finalist to win the trip and it snowballed from there!! Lucky i guess!

I'd be getting her to buy some lottery tickets so you can go buy a massive garage and start filling it with ALL THE MOPARS! Then hiring some Jay Leno guys to help you do want you want for them.

I won the same trip a couple of years back. It was an incredible vacation. Everything was free and you were not allowed to tip staff. The bar opened at 5 pm. The only drawback was that aside from the Yellowstone Park excursion it was impossible to leave the ranch to explore. There were so many activities though so it really didn't matter. The food was incredible and the steak cut and cooked to order for breakfast was a nice touch.I had such a nice time I drove to Montana last year and explored the crazy mountain area and then drove to Cody Wyoming. There were plenty of nice vintage cars and trucks parked in many of the yards along the side roads in Wyoming and Montana and can be had for far cheaper than here in the East. It is Gods country for sure. Marlboro was a great host and even cut a check to cover taxes on the trip.

shoot elk or be with girlfriend, looks like it was a great time in BIG SKY country.....
geez, the U.S is a great place!..:sunny:
