Just got threatened on this board

Just to let you all know, I logged on to this site this morning and received the following PM from a member calling themselves "Target", with 0 posts:

"Your Dead next time I see you @ suiteK........now I know what you look like.
Keep that glock close sunshine."

I'm assuming since my picture was posted recently in a thread, that someone decided to personally threaten to kill me. I forwarded the PM to the mods.

Gotta say, I'm inclined to quit this board altogether. I've had little spats with people around here over the last 2 years, but I've certainly never threatened anyone or gotten into it at anything approaching the above. In all my years on the web, I've never experienced something like this.

Whoever sent this to me- shame on you. If you sent it, own up and explain yourself. I'd really like to know what the point of sending a message like this is for you.

To everyone else, thanks for making this board such a great place. It really bums me out to get something like this, since I feel like I'm a part of a great group of people who can't get enough of these amazing cars of ours.

Don't quit the site over someone who does not have the balls to identify themselves with some anonymous threat....this is the best site for us Mopar guys to get together, share information, technical resources and show our cars....

If it was someone on here hiding behind an alias, you can PM me if you want to do the right thing and tell me what your problem is. If was someone with zero posts then you can pretty much assume that they aren't really a member and you just got randomly targeted for a "crank call" I wouldn't take it personally. Besides, it's kind of endearing that they called you "sunshine" don't you think.

That totally sucks Pabster, as much as we completely disagree, most all the time & I think some of your political views & some posts are somewhat offensive, extreme, confrontational, unnecessarily provoking or baiting people into an arguments sometimes, they are still your opinions, I believe in freedom of speech, no matter how different the views can be & as long as they are within the rules of the moderators/forum, you should be able to post them, freely & without threats.... But that personal threatening stuff is just wrong, period.... I'm sorry if I have exposed you to some negative threats from someone else... stay safe
