I have just bought this 64 polara and after going through many posts and the more info I get im wondering what kind of "deal" ive got? Its so far so good with this car and im the third owner. Its originally bought out of winnipeg manitoba and was bought off the original owner in 1992. The second owner and owner of over thirty cars claims he bought it and has only put roughly 200 miles on it in 20 years and it has sat in a barn. The floors and trunk from what I can see look great! Every works on this car including reverse lights and all lights. The rear window blower and windshield washer too! Runs and drives great and the only problem ive noticed is a exhaust leak at manifold. Ive driven it everyday since ive bought it and all is good! $5600 cnd is what ive got into it? What do ya think?

I think it was a great price. Slip a $2000 V8 into it and you could probalby get $12-15 for it with no other work..

That's aboot $5390.84 U.S., right?

I'm with Stumper - you did good!

Yep something like that! I plan on a motor swap right away and already have a 383 out of a wrecked charger. Thats where im kind of stumped. I need to know what sort of stuff im gonna run into with a slant six to v8 swap.

You'll need a V-8 K-member, and you may want to upgrade to the heavier, V-8 torsion bars. Some drag racers use the lighter /6 torsion bars for better weight transfer on launch, but they might not be the best for the street.

Thats the things I need to know thnx! Anythng else? Also the rear is sitting alot higher than the front of the car and it has a trailer hitch pkg and the rear leafs are 7 leaf pack? Or eight? Just took a quick look? Is that the stock leaf pack? Sound normal?

Unless the car is all bondo it looks like a real good deal to me. The 64 Polara is my favorite body style. You are lucky that I didn't see it first.

Looks like an honest car. I'd leave it exactly as is (sans maintenance items) and drive it!

$5600 would've gotten you a delightfully boring used Camry, or a basket-case E body that you could trailer around...after another 50 Gs or so. I think you scored. A big block would be cool, but far from necessary: 64s got game no matter what they're packin'. Congratulations.

I like it too, but it's a little late to ask.

Smokin deal. Everything works! Rear window defogger works. Absolutely no worries about that purchase. Keep us posted on any upgrades. Great car man.

I like it, and I'm a 70's B-Body devotee. Know nothing about value of 'em, but a classic Mopar that's in good shape like that being had for under $6K? Well done.

Looks good in the pics we've seen... IF there isn't any hidden mud on it you did very good

Looks like to me, it's a very, nice, original, solid, clean, straight, 64 Polara slant 6 car, it's probably a really good buy, IMHFO anyway....
