I'm a little confused on that point. I bought it from a friend that didn't finish a project. Unfortunately, he has since passed away. If memory serves, it was bolted up without any sort of adapter and it was using an ultra bell. When I look it up on the JW website it says NO under part #93010 "use w/ultrabell". It doesn't say that part # requires an adapter. I'm probably goint to have to call them to sort it out. I have the whole setup: ATI Glide, Ultrabell, shield, flexplate and converter. I called ATI regarding the trans and they said it was rated at 600HP. My combo is closer to 750, so I decided to sell. Didn't get any interest in the package, so I was going to part it out.

I run that setup and mine requires an adapter because the GM converter has a smaller crank register.
